A little behind in posting for my Project 366.  Life is busy! Here is Week 10.

The first couple of images are on film.  Shooting on a fully manual Canon AE-1P.  Fuji 400h, love that color, there is nothing like it.  Here is Ferris learning to write.  And standing with some Ivy.

I pulled over to shoot this pocket of light that was hitting him.  Love it.

I asked him for 5 minutes for a couple of picture.  He really didn’t want to.  But then this happens.  Love that.  We registered him for Kinder on this day. It goes by too fast.

You are about to be 8, I can hardly believe it.  You still run around with toy swords and rope and many other things that you use to build amazing worlds of fantasy and play.  Your imagination is boundless.  I love that about you.

Found: Superman PJs in early morning light.  I am not a morning person, but photography has taught me a whole other way of seeing the morning.

Good morning little one.  Most mornings, it’s just you and me.  At least for a little while longer.  I registered you for Kinder this week.  I’m a little sad, but mostly excited for you and the adventures that will come.

Seriously, I love this.  Look at that energy.  He loves drums even though he is always a bit nervous before a lesson. But he talks about drums nonstop as soon as the lesson is over.

You always let me try things with camera.  Infinitely patient about it as well.  Even if I need you to stand in one spot while I try to get hair light on a little dude.

Minecraft.  It seriously amazes me what you and your brothers can create in that game.  And although you occasionally fight when you play, there is an amazing amount of creative and cooperative energy when you play together.

Joyce and her Hasselblad.  A great friend, a kind and generous one.  Someone who has taught me a lot, given her knowledge selflessly.  She makes pretty pictures.  And that camera is a work of art.  Shot on Ektar with a Pentax 645n.

I’ve joined lots of blog circles over the years, and they have all been fun. But I can’t say enough about how much I have loved working on The Color Collaborative. Not only did it stretch my creativity, (I mean who picked Silver!!, ahem, Dani); but it has been completely fantastic to work with this group of super talented women. That alone makes me want to keep the circle going. Each one of them is so inspiring. And I am truly happy I’ve had the opportunity to know each one a little better! We decided there couldn’t be just one color for the end of the project. How do you pick a favorite! So, we went with Color Theory. The way colors work together is such a powerful thing in imagery. It’s something I continuously work on and study. So, here is my take on Color Theory: some images with Primary Colors worked in, and a couple with Complementary Colors. Please follow the blog circle around to see the amazing work of this group. Link HERE to see my good friend Jennifer Conley, each frame she shoots is perfection. I tell her this ALL THE TIME.

5x5 frame400This week Laird at some Fried Chicken at the best fried chicken place ever. Ferris (Fever) was feeling under the weather, for about a day. Then he played with a Truck in awesome light. Who knew Popsicles could look so cool. Fun at an Arcade. Eating an Apple. And just hanging out in some Shades.

Another week of images. Each image a story within itself. This week we made Valentines and to be honest, I recycled the idea from last year.  The boys loved it and I didn’t have the creative juice to do anything different. Laird stood in the playroom Mess, that room is overwhelming to me.  Bean bags and toys everywhere, but that light… We see Ferris when he Wakes Up.  I have so many pictures of him with “Chachi and Domo”, they go pretty much everywhere with him.  I should make a book of those images.   Then we went to Lucy’s for fried chicken,  yum.   I spend a lot of time in the Van, lots of pictures in the van.  We wait in the van, we drive in the van. Van. Van. Van.  And we went to Ren-Fair. They have fun, what’s not to love, sword fights, knights and princesses, jousting etc.  It’s always an experience.  Also, Ferris is always Cooperative with taking pictures!
